Getting the most out of IVY

Getting hot is a big issue for the Ivy Bridge CPU and just changing multipliers and setting voltages may not get you the best possible results. Using the tools Intel gives you along with advanced Bios settings may yield better results than pretending this is just a hot Sandy Bridge CPU. Using Dynamic vcore, maximizing your Turbo Core usage, making some other fine adjustments and enabling power saving through BIOS you may be able to squeak a few hundred extra MHz out of your CPU and stay cooler at the same time.

A small disclaimer: Some motherboards show a small to significant loss in SSD performance with power saving options enabled.
