mini-IMG_1788

When one hears “be quiet!”; one thinks of an imperative – absolutely necessary or required; unavoidable: It is imperative that we keep the noise down. When considering the German vernacular; there is no real work around to this, it will be quiet. It is akin to yelling at a noisy case fan to cease and desist all annoying and unnecessary audible emissions! It is not a matter of becoming silent it is a matter of toning it down, at all costs, and keeping it quiet (Making little or no noise).

From the be quiet! site:

ABOUT US: be quiet! is a premium brand manufacturer of power supplies and cooling solutions for your desktop PC.

The Number 1 for power supplies in Germany: be quiet! products are convincing which is proved by reaching and defending the market leadership in PSU business in Germany since 2006 *. This is validated and accompanied by numerous awards for both power supplies and cooling solutions.

Repeated winner – Manufacturer of the year: be quiet! is awarded for six times in a row as manufacturer of the year in the power supply category by the readers of the well-know German hardware magazine PC Games Hardware. Another first and second rank in the categories “fans” and “cooler” for two consecutive times underline the high acceptance of our products.

Exceptionally quiet operation: be quiet! sticks to its name: More than ten years experience in the field of noise reduction and silence make be quiet! products probably the most silent one on the market. Undoubted fans have a large impact of the noise levels of be quiet! products. Due we are using our specially developed SilentWings fans in nearly all of our range. They are equipped with various noise reducing features. Thanks to these we ensure a really silent operation – our products reach the best balance between cooling performance and a virtually inaudible operation.

DeepCool Gamer Storm Assassin CPU Cooler Review

June 25, 2013 in Cooling, CPU, Featured, Gaming, Intel, Overclocking, PC, Review

DP Logo2

“Deepcool was founded with the mission of providing the best performance and humanized thermal solutions for worldwide customers. Established in 1996, Deepcool originally produced desktop and server coolers for ODM partners. With the rapid development of personal computers, Deepcool expanded the business into desktop cooling products and laptop cooling accessories.

Deepcool has built up its distribution network in over sixty countries all over the globe, by which end-users can purchase Deepcool products online or in their nearest local stores. With more and more media exposure and publication, such as awards from renowned websites and magazines like Pure Overclock, Tom’s Hardware, Guru3d, CHIP, etc., Deepcool now enjoys a good reputation among computer daily users, gamers and overclockers.

We will always spare no effort to maintain customer satisfaction by serving our customer’s ever-changing thermal needs and providing the quickest and most comprehensive service available. As our slogan goes, we wish you all ‘Enjoy your cool life!’”

The above was a portion of the ABOUT US section from Deepcool’s website, and it pretty much sums up what the company is, and what they hope to accomplish. It also saved us the trouble of coming up with our own intro : )

Today we get to take a look at one of Deepcool’s cooling solutions which hopefully will keep the reputation the company has built with daily users, gamers, and overclockers going strong. Introducing the Gamer Storm Assassin. The Assassin is a high CPU cooler that caters to the more hardcore crowd of PC users that want to keep their CPU’s as cool as possible without going the water cooling, or liquid nitrogen route. The cooler comes with two optional fans: One 140mm, and the other 120mm. Both fans can be mounted together on the Assassin to provide additional heat dispersion, and the cooler supports a variety of sockets from both Intel, and AMD.

The Assassin itself is massive in size much like coolers such as the Noctua NH-D14, and the Silverstone Heligon. Just like these coolers, the Assassin is not meant to be used with micro ATX, or mini ITX cases. You definitely are going to want to have a large mid tower, or full tower sized case if you are going to use this Hulk in your rig.

But enough talk, let’s get to the review.
